Iannucci's on Hendersonville Road.

The Story:
As I was first putting this blog together, about a month and a half ago, I distinctly remember saying "I wonder when the first real 'Ugly' entry will come in, and who it will be."  Well...42 days later we have the first "Ugly" entry...and the winner is: Iannucci's Pizzaria and Italian Restaurant.

This is actually difficult for me.  Usually, when I run into something like this, I forget it and move on.  However, with this blog, I'm forced to dwell on it long enough to get it typed out...So, I figure I should get on with it and quit stalling while I try to remember stuff. lol

Basically, the dining experience blew chunks.  I've had a better time, in the middle of nowhere, at some Denney's wanna-be restaurants during a cross-country drive.  The food, at Iannucci's was mediocre at best, and the service was near non-existent.  The waitress was good about seating me quickly, but then disappeared, leaving me to my own devices for a good 15 minutes...during which time, the rest of my party showed up and we all sat wondering if she was going to come back to the table.  And that's how the night was spent...waiting for the waitress, with food that none of us really liked staring us down.

The Verdict:
I suppose that there should be some sort of prize for being the first establishment to receive a spot on the "Ugly" list.  Maybe sometime, if I'm driving by, I'll put a gold star sticker on their window.
Don't get me wrong...I understand that the south runs on it's own concept of time.  However, when your customers are sitting there wondering where you are (and we weren't the only ones), something is not quite right.  I suppose that it could be attributed to being "a bad night", and to truly put it on the "Ugly" list, I should go back and re-sample.  The only thing is, with how truly mediocre the food was, I really don't want to go back.
